Candee: I'm a child passenger safety technician. Our instruction says: The best car seat is the one that fits your child properly, is easy to use, and fits in your vehicle correctly.
Different vehicles have different seat crack angles among other things, so the ideal is to fit your child in the seat, and fit the seat in your car to see how well it fits. This isn't always possible, but it gives you a guide of what to look for.

So after all my research, what did I end up with?
The Graco Snugride with EPS (in Milan). I also noticed that TheBoy is within 2 lbs of outgrowing his toddler seat so we purchased a high back booster for him, as well, the Graco TurboBooster SafeSeat.
I bought them online, free shipping, from Albee Baby. Albee isn't paying me; I'm not their salesperson. This is just the online store I purchased my 2 car seats from yesterday that had the best price and also exactly what I wanted.
It shouldn't take them too long to get here. I'm sure I'll be reviewing them for you, faithful reader, very soon. After all, baby arrives in just 18 short weeks!
