Welcome to my house on the Bloggy Block party!! We're not the biggest. Not the cleanest (shhhh... don't tell!). We're just the COOLEST partyin' bloggers in my house! Well, I am anyway, since no one else blogs...

We've got a whole WEEK to get to know each other, so let's start now.

Hi, I'm Sara, mom of The Estrogen Files. My mind is as cluttered as my blog but my family loves me anyway. I have four brats kids who drive me insane hourly. All but the youngest is in school. Hubbers is an engineer who works for the government, which is cause for insanity itself.

I live in snowy Idaho. I've come to the conclusion that Idaho is an Indian word that means "The Wind Never FREAKIN' STOPS blowin'!" We've lived here 10 years and our house is only 1400 square feet. Saying that we're a little cramped is an understatement.

I like to craft with crochet hooks, paper and scrapbooks, and web design. I own my own sewing business called WAHMom.com (Work at Home Mom). Once upon a time I could wear skinny jeans. Now I go to Curves and joined Therefore, What - a weightloss blog.

I enjoy spreading my maniacy (is that a word? kind of maniac and lunacy all rolled together?) to all and sundry. Welcome to The Estrogen Files!

Leave me a comment and I'll be sure to visit your blog, too. I LIVE for comments, you know. Don't we all?

In case that's not enough "sara" for you, check out my 100 Things post.

This is a sticky post -- scroll down for the latest bloggy news below.

Yay for the party! I am glad to meet you! I love the name of your blog!! Have a great week of partying!

Hi Sara! I read The Estrogen Files all the time. Have I never left you a comment before?? Consider this my de-lurking then. Party on!!

KarenW said...

I live for comments too! I had to LOL at your definition for Idaho. I think that is what Constanta means in Romanian. Constanta at 3000 years old is the original windy city, I think. I hope you can stop by. Enjoy the party!

I like your blog! We are real life neighbors...I'm in Utah! I am having a blast at this party!! I hope to make lots of new friends. I LOVE comments as well!

Deena Peterson said...

Saw the title of your blog and HAD to stop by!! Had a hot flash while I was reading it LOL!!

I promise to stop lurking and start commenting...really, I do...

And I have a question (I'm such a bloggy newbie)...how do you type a word and then line through it like you did?? I wanna know **waahh**

Sara! My bloggy compadre! I love your party post, and I especially love the translation for Idaho :0)
My party is in full swing, so stop by when you can!

It's so nice to meet you! Where did you find the M&M button? That is so, so funny!! (my favorite candy, btw, and the reason the size 10's do not fit)

PT-LawMom said...

Great blog! Love the M&M button. LOL! Seriously funny. Party on. ;)

Hi Sara~

I have so enjoyed your party... I'll be back again soon, I'm sure!

Thanks for stopping by for my bash. You didn't play my game, though... You'll have to come back!! (Make sure you come back before I spill the beans tomorrow!)

Happy Partying!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I am so enjoying this huge blog party!

So glad you left a comment (and don't hesitate to ever comment.....Blogging 101 states that "Bloggers can never have too many comments!") It's been blizzarding all day here in Minnesota...so yes, I made my way around a few party-blogs! It's still snowing so my post tomorrow will show a few snowstorm photos--and with any luck...I'll get to visit a few new blogs again. Susan and Janice are hosting a really fun event! I didn't expect it to be so large....sure hope no one else in the blogosphere has anything to say that they want us to hear...we're gonna be a little busy for the coming week!

Happy party-hopping!

Hop on over to my blog any time!

Diane

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! I'm back to visit because I love a pro-life, breast feeding, cloth diapering, modest, baby wearing, sah mom! Thats me at the moment, too. I may be getting a job, but otherwise your description fits me until the outnumbered part. We have more guys than girls right now. Even our pets are mostly boys.

Hi, and thanks for stopping by my blog! I love your blog name too, and I might just "steal" your M&M icon. My husband usually always has a "chocolate stash" somewhere in the house for when I have my bad days. Smart man!

Hi Sara! Thanks for stopping by to visit me. I hope you scrolled down to see the party post. I can't figure out how to make it a sticky post. It took me 2 weeks just to figure out how to make my header have a picture with words inside of it.

I am loving the party thing. Oh, and I am counting points on WW. Lost all of 2 1/2 pounds in the month of Feb. Eeeek. Hard work for those kinda results. But I need to add the exercise. That will do it.

I'll check back with you.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my party! I am sure I have been here before -- maybe for some meme or another? I love your blog title. :)

My husband is from southern Idaho. But I am glad we don't live there -- I couldn't take all the snow. It gets colder than I like even here in SC. :)

You asked what I did as a SAHM after my kids all went to school. I head up our ladies' group at church and write a monthly newsletter for them. This month we're doing college student care packages, so there is a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff with that kind of thing. I've started doing a bit of writing and had a few articles published. Other than that I keep the home fires burning and take my youngest where he needs to go. Everyone else's schedule in the family is so crazy, I kind of like that I'm the one home keeping everything running and keeping on top of everyone else's schedule. If my schedule were crazy, too -- I'd be a basket case. I want to scrapbook and sew and get a million projects done. And I spend too much time on the computer. :)

To me this is an ideal time of life. My kids are not as dependent as they were when they were little, but none has left yet.
