I'm pleased to say that my son has made it to the 2 week mark and I'm still alive, still (mostly) sane, and finally learning to use the sling better. BB is not a born sling lover. In fact, in order to get him to settle down in it today (pressing that I fold towels or NO showers!) I had to plop him in and walk around outside in the sunshine before he'd relax and sleep. At least it worked.
I'm also pleased to report that after a very sleepless Monday, BB slept a four hour stretch last night! While I was so happy to have that sleep, my poor breasts were a bit unhappy. Four hours at a stretch makes for engorgement. Yeeouch.
To make up for my lack of posting, here's a gratuitous kid shot:

He is so adorable. I love watching babies sleep!
Man, he is a looker, Sara! :)
What a beautiful little guy.
I love it when babies are asleep and their lower lip is kind of "sucked in" like that. Awwwwwww.
Glad you are starting to feel better! I never did get the hang of the sling. I was always afraid I would tip the baby out!
So sweet! I've been trying out different wraps, etc. So far Doodle only kind of likes it. I think it more depends on her sleep level!
What a beautiful little guy. Such a precious time of life.
he's gorgeous!! Praying for you :)
oops. that above post was mine :) What a gorgeous baby, Sara!!
He is gorgeous!!
He is just precious!!!!! =)
I am getting used to the sling, too. I still don't think I have it figured out just the right way to wear it.
So far he has fallen asleep in it a handful of times. We will keep practicing.
