Works for Me Wednesday - Laundry Lunacy!

Taming the Laundry Monster is difficult around here. There's six of us in our family and it's a NEVER ENDING chore. To make it easier for [us] me, I put the kids in charge of their own sorting before wash (lights and darks) and putting away after.

To show the kids which clothing is theirs, each child has a laundry basket. One of their daily chores is to see if there are clothes to be put away NICELY. If there is, they do it. If not, they cross it off the chore list for that day.

Works for [us] Me!

Works for Me Wednesday is hosted by Rocks in My Dryer. See lots of great time saving and just plain cool ideas there!

Great tip! My girls do their own sorting and putting away, too. At least until I color coordinated their closet; now Mom's a little picky about it.

Good ideas Sara. I do let the older kids put away their laundry. I am such a control freak I find myself doing it all and then step back and say, "why am I doing it all?" and then start distributing chore lists to everyone.

that is a super duper good idea. My oldest son can't get the concept down that his clothes go into the hamper AND NOT on the floor!! And NICELY putting away still means stuffing in the drawers.

Take care.
