Holy Thursday

During supper, Jesus got up from the table, took off his outer robe, and tied a towel around himself. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel.... Jesus said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? ... So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet."
- John 13: 1,4-5, 14

St Teresa's Prayer:

Christ has no body now but yours
No hands, no feet on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which he looks with compassion on this world.
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good.
Yours are the hands with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet
Yours are the eyes, you are his body
Christ has no body now but yours.
