Internet of the Absurd

I caught this AP News blurb about Angelina Jolie today and couldn't believe what I saw! Yes, it's a parady of sorts: a call to recognize our passion with celebrity worship and the cheapest prices and product ever is nothing but absurd, perhaps even obscene. In what other dimension than the internet would Jolie be the Virgin Mary, the Madonna, the Queen of All?

The painting is eye-catchingly bad, but a good likeness of the "star".
